The idea in plain words

Some markets seem to make lows at roughly regular intervals. Mark two lows; the tool repeats that spacing across the chart so you can see whether the rhythm continues.

How it is calculated

Click two points; every following line is the same number of candles further on.

Line k at time A + k × (time B − time A)

How to use it

  • Look for upcoming dates where a turn would fit the rhythm.
  • Combine with price levels: a cycle date at a support level is stronger.

Drawing conclusions

  • Cycles drift over time; treat them as rough windows, not exact dates.

Example

Lows on a daily chart roughly every 40 candles; the next line falls in late November, a window to watch for a low.

Prices in examples are illustrative.

Watch out for

  • Rhythms found in the past often fade; do not trade on timing alone.

A little history

Cycle analysis was popularised by J. M. Hurst's 1970 book "The Profit Magic of Stock Transaction Timing".
