Everything to integrate real-time and historical prices: an interactive reference, SDKs for Python and JavaScript, the OpenAPI specification and a Postman collection.
Quick start
Python
# one file, standard library only (Python 3.9+)
curl -O https://app.marketapi.app/sdk/marketapi.py
pip install websockets # only if you use the live stream
from marketapi import MarketAPI
api = MarketAPI("YOUR_API_KEY")
print(api.latest(["EURUSD", "XAUUSD"]))JavaScript
// one ES module, no dependencies (Node 18+ and browsers)
curl -O https://app.marketapi.app/sdk/marketapi.mjs
npm install ws # only for the live stream in Node.js
import { MarketAPI } from "./marketapi.mjs";
const api = new MarketAPI({ apiKey: process.env.API_KEY });
console.log(await api.latest(["EURUSD"]));The clients are single files you keep in your project, so there is nothing to install from a package registry and no third-party code to trust. Put the file next to your script, or in any folder on your import path.
marketapi.py marketapi.mjs OpenAPI 3.1 spec · Postman collection · Guides · Changelog · Oracle (smart contracts)
Building a smart contract?
The on-chain price oracle gives your contract the same prices as signed reports it can verify on-chain: GET https://api.marketapi.app/v1/oracle/report?symbols=XAUUSD&chain_id=10, then submit(report, signature) and getPriceNoOlderThan(feedId, maxAge). Solidity and ethers v6 examples, contract addresses and feed IDs are in the oracle documentation.
